You don't have to wait until you are running on empty.
Burnout does not need to be the cost of showing up for your family, community and workplace.

Burnout looks different for everyone.
With over 30 years experience training and practicing as a clinical psychologist, I have had thousands of conversations with clients about where the pain points are when facing the debilitating experience of burnout.
Whether you are a high performing athlete, a leader within an organisation, an entrepreneur or someone who values showing up within their family and community, every story I have witnessed has a common theme of one or more of the following experiences.
Burnout can feel like:
Overstimulation
Physically, mentally and emotionally.
People are fish swimming in an ocean of busyness.
Disconnection
From yourself, your relationships and a sense of purpose.
Burnout is isolating and you are wired for belonging.
Stuck
With low energy and no time, change feels impossible.
You want solutions but don't know where to start.
You don't need to keep grinding. Burnout can be the doorway to come home to yourself.
How I can help youThe more complex the problem, the simpler the solution must be.
If you are someone committed to growth you have likely spent hundreds of dollars on books, tools and teachers to help with your wellbeing. The MAIA Method is based on three pillars of self leadership to support you to realise the solutions are already within you.
The three pillars:
Recover
Your body is the book
No book will teach you more than your own body.
Rewire
Your mind is the tool
You can rewrite the stories that have been holding you back.
Reconnect
Your heart is the teacher
Your intuition and values are your greatest strategy.
The Maia MethodTM teaches you to:Recover in your bodyRewire your mindReconnect to what matters.

Dr Mel Taitimu
Burnout prevention and recovery expert
Dr Mel brings science-backed tools and relatable insights to audiences who are tired of surface-level wellbeing advice.
I'm Dr Mel Taitimu, a clinical psychologist and burnout prevention and recovery expert. I support the people everyone relies on, but who rarely get the space to care for themselves.
I weave what I have learnt in over 30 years of training and practice as a clinical psychologist, writer, lecturer, trainer and speaker to support people, leaders and teams to sustainably prevent and treat burnout.
I meet individuals and teams in the muddy mess of burnout to create small achievable shifts in thinking, feeling and behaving. My aim is to help people feel like themselves again and reconnect to a sense of belonging, purpose and meaning.
